Steam Quirks for Developers


Tom Francis, game reviewer and developer, has published some quirks of Steam that might be of interest to any studio.

For example, giving testers a beta key takes the game off their wishlist. The higher your proportion of testers to non-testers, the more this hurts, because – as Francis confirms what many devs already know – wishlist numbers matter.
